Here’s something we’ve been waiting for a long time – locally grown Swedish KRAV hemp seeds!

Hemp seeds are loved by many birds, especially those who enjoy fatty seeds like greenfinches, bullfinches, great tits, goldfinches, house sparrows, siskins, and other finches and tits.

The hemp seeds may contain some weed seeds and crop residues, and they are not stone-cleaned according to the highest standards. However, they are very good in taste, but if used as food, it is at your own risk.

The seeds come from our friend Linnea Solh and her family, who grow the hemp on the farm Stubbevället on the Östgötaslätten. Linnea uses hemp to make tea, hemp powder, and more, and we buy the seeds directly from them.

The family runs a sustainable and progressive farm with meadows, walking paths, and flowering margins along the fields, as well as beautiful nature grazing areas.

The variety is called Finola and is an approved oil hemp for cultivation in Sweden. The hemp has low levels of THC, the narcotic substance, but can be used to extract CBD, which is often used in the pharmaceutical industry.

The hemp is KRAV certified, grown in Östergötland, and results in a transport emission to our warehouse of 0.021 kWh/kg or 0.006 kg CO2-equivalent/kg hemp.
